Sticky substations used in traps are adhesives of specific parameters prepared in the way that allows to catch and keep light and strong insects for the longest possible time in specified conditions.
Insects must be caught on the surface after detecting very little pressure on the adhesive surface. These substations are scientifically called „pressure sensitive adhesives” . In order to obtain even better attraction effectiveness these adhesiveness are mixed with UV-A resistant pheromones.
Pheromones used at present are odourless and prepared in the way aimed at improving effectiveness of attracting the most popular domestic fly, Musca domestica.
