In our devices we use new generation UVA tubes which are designed to attract insects in motion. Scientific researches proof that insect's eye, for instance domestic fly, is most sensitive to UVA radiation in the range of 360-365nm and in this very range our lamps have the maximum radiation emission level.
Using green-coloured lamps are to encourage insects to fly. After starting flying, insect's eye begins to receive UVA radiation.
Replacement intervals:
One must remember that attraction effectiveness lowers with time. Depending on a lamp type after working 3000 to 5000 hours they lose about 30% of their effectiveness. It is a general rule to replace them annual, before new season begins.
Safety:
In food industry and all places that are in contact with food, only shatterproofed lamps (coated) should be used. UVA tubes used by our company are covered with special foil preventing pieces of glass and fluorescent filling containing mercury getting outside. It should be remembered that in the event of damage to a lamp, its pieces can be scattered over the area of 20 m2. Protective foil used in our devices doesn't reduce their effectiveness.
